Proficiency Instructions

In general, proficiency survey samples for Influenza A&B testing are in a liquid, “wash” format. As the OSOM Influenza A&B Test does not have a wash procedure, please use the following procedure for testing proficiency samples.

For CAP, MLE and AAB subscribers, please use the following instructions to test Influenza Proficiency Samples on the OSOM Influenza A&B Test Kit:

1. Add a minimum of 135 L (maximum of 300 L), of flu proficiency sample to one of the test tubes provided in the OSOM Test kit

2. Add a Test Stick and incubate for 10 minutes

3. Read the results

For API Proficiency subscribers only: please use the following instructions to test Influenza Proficiency Samples on the OSOM Influenza A&B Test Kit:

1. Add 135 L of Extraction Buffer to one of the test tubes provided in the OSOM Test kit

2. Add 135 L of flu proficiency sample to the same test tube and swirl to mix

3. Add a Test Stick and incubate for 10 minutes

4. Read the results
